Discover the World of the Tree

The world is evolving very fast: the new generation needs new teaching methods. Experiential learning allows students to absorb knowledge in real life. The best learning is when children feel and experience everything by themselves. Through experiments, research, active and useful activities, pupils get to know the world around them, encouraging higher learning outcomes well as desire to learn. STEAM covers all human activities. The aim of the project is to create a publicly available digital methodological tool “Discover the World of the Tree” by expanding European cooperation, developing STEAM education, strengthening the academic excellence and digital literacy of teachers and students.

We are a complex School of Jesuit Primary school and Jesuit High School in Gdynia. We teach according to core curriculum of Ministry of Education. We are a jesuit school which means we care about holistic development of each of our students. We make many international projects, they used to be mostly mobility projects, but due to pandemic we started on-line projects for both primary and secondary education. We meet with other schools online and share our culture, history, knowlege in different areas. Students work in between meetings sharing roles and work, reading, making research, preparing presentations. We value projects as taking part in projects students benefit not only with gaining knowledge but also with usage of foreign languages (mostly english and spanish), IT devices and applications, and communication skills.
